This is a fitting date to celebrate the concise and impactful nature of the short story form. It’s a day to appreciate short stories, read some new ones, and even try your hand at writing your own!
2. “Celebrate Short Fiction” Day: Held on the first day of winter, which varies depending on the year, this day is another reason to champion short fiction. It’s a broader celebration encompassing not just short stories but novellas, flash fiction, and all other forms of shorter prose. It’s a chance to explore the diversity and power of short fiction as a literary art form.
